VIHvos

VIHvos & VIHsibles

In a region where new HIV infections rose by 13% over the past decade and 25% of people living with the virus lack access to treatment, VIHvos operates in the space between the community and the health system. Education, community prevention, psychosocial support, and referral to the public health system — in coordination with international cooperation partners. Treatment is provided by the public system; PPF educates, accompanies, and refers.

  • Epidemiological justification based on regional data
  • Community counseling activities with support and referral to the public health system
  • Psychosocial support as a clinically necessary intervention
  • Communication for Behavior Change (C4D)

From Me to You

When 94.8% of trans people lack formal employment and one in three report being misgendered in dental settings, oral health becomes a form of structural injustice. De Mí para Ti tackles three barriers at once — economic, cultural, and access — through a community-expansion model in which each beneficiary becomes a pathway to care for someone else.

  • Response to documented structural exclusion in Latin America
  • Free dental care for trans people and key populations
  • Affirmative clinical environment free of misgendering
  • Peer-based community expansion model
